How to Apply Silagen 1″ Silicone Scar Dots

1. Make sure the scar area is clean, dry, and free of lotions, gels, and ointments.
2. Begin use once the wound is fully healed or sutures have been removed. Do not apply to open skin.
3. Remove one silicone dot from the package.
4. Peel off the backing and apply the dot, adhesive side down, so it fully covers the scar.
5. If additional security is needed, you may use medical tape or a pressure dressing.
6. If the dot becomes dirty or loses adhesion, wash gently with mild soap and water and allow to air-dry before reapplying.
7. Store the dot on its original backing when not in use.
   

Recommended Wear Time

• Wear Silagen Scar Dots 10–16 hours per day for the best results.
• Remove every 12 hours to wash, dry, and inspect the skin.
• Use consistently for a minimum of 2 months; results may continue to improve up to 6 months.
• Remove before showering, bathing, or swimming.
• Each silicone dot typically lasts 2–3 weeks with proper care.
• Replace the dot if it loses adhesion or shows signs of deterioration.
  

For sensitive skin:
Start with 4 hours per day during the first 3–4 days. If no irritation occurs, increase wear by 2 hours daily until desired usage is reached.

Cleaning Instructions

• Clean the dot every 2–3 days or whenever adhesion decreases.
• Wash gently with tap water + mild hand soap, then air-dry before reapplying.
• Avoid using alcohol, lotions, or harsh cleansers on the silicone.
