Allergan Latisse 5ml (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution)

Latisse® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03%, approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2008, is a treatment for hypotrichosis of the eyelashes. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes. Latisse® is the first and only FDA-approved, science-based treatment to enhance eyelash prominence by increasing length, thickness and darkness of eyelashes.

Available only through a doctor, Latisse is a once-daily prescription treatment applied to the base of the upper eyelashes with a sterile, single-use-per-eye disposable applicator. Latisse users can expect to experience longer, fuller and darker eyelashes in as little as eight weeks, with full results in 16 weeks. To maintain effect, continued treatment with Latisse is required. If use of Latisse is discontinued, eyelashes will gradually return to where they were prior to treatment over a period of weeks to months (average eyelash hair cycle).

Latisse solution is a once-nightly treatment you apply topically to the base of your upper eyelashes, as instructed by your doctor. Then, gradually, the results come in. You may start to see more length in as little as 4 weeks and you should achieve full growth in 16 weeks. It’s not an illusion of growth. It is real lash growth!

Latisse is very easy to use: Apply a single drop of the solution at the base of each eyelash and gently wipe away any excess. Using more than a drop per eyelash will not cause faster results. One drop is usually enough for the eyelashes and eyebrows.

Active ingredient: bimatoprost

Inactive ingredients: benzalkonium chloride; sodium chloride;
sodium phosphate, dibasic; citric acid; and purified water. Sodium
hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid may be added to adjust pH. The
pH during its shelf life ranges from 6.8 – 7.8.

Ensure the face is clean, makeup and contact lenses are removed. Once nightly, place one drop of Latisse (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% on the disposable sterile applicator supplied with the package and apply evenly along the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes. The upper lid margin in the area of lash growth should feel lightly moist without runoff. Blot any excess solution runoff outside the upper eyelid margin with a tissue or other absorbent cloth. Dispose of the applicator after one use. Repeat for the opposite eyelid margin using a new sterile applicator. Do not reuse applicators and do not use any other brush/applicator to apply Latisse. Do not apply to the lower eyelash line. Additional applications of Latisse will not increase the growth of eyelashes. Upon discontinuation of treatment, eyelash growth is expected to return to its pre-treatment level.
